About Wapito
Wapito is a REST API and webhook service for WhatsApp on any phone number, operated by an independent team of developers. It is small, it is independent of Meta, and it is built by the same people who answer the support address.
Why it exists
Meta's official WhatsApp Cloud API is built for one shape of business messaging: approved templates, a customer-service window and a per-message bill. A large part of what WhatsApp can actually do — creating groups, managing participants, posting to Channels, publishing status, running polls, checking whether a number exists — has no endpoint there at all, and the parts that do exist need business verification most small teams never get through.
The alternative most developers reach for is an open-source library they host themselves, which works until the session store corrupts, the protocol changes or the server reboots at two in the morning. Wapito is that layer, run properly: a number linked once, a stable REST surface in front of it, events delivered with retries and a signature, and someone whose job it is to keep up with WhatsApp's changes.
The honesty pillar
This category is full of providers who imply an endorsement they do not have and hide the ban risk in a footnote. Being the one that does not is both the right thing and the whole commercial strategy — five commitments, and you can hold us to them.
1. We say what this is
Wapito is an unofficial API. It links a real WhatsApp account and speaks the protocol the phone and desktop apps use; it is not Meta's Cloud API and it is not a Business Solution Provider. You will not find the words "official" or "approved" attached to us, because they would not be true.
2. We say what it costs you in risk
WhatsApp can restrict or ban a number that behaves like a bot, and no provider can appeal that for you. Every feature page carries that warning at the level the feature deserves, and the anti-ban guide exists because the honest answer to "how do I avoid this" is longer than a sentence.
3. We show the comparison we lose
The pages comparing Wapito with the Cloud API and with other providers quote Meta's own documentation with a link and the date we read it, and they say plainly where the official platform is the better choice. A comparison you cannot check is marketing.
4. We do not invent proof
No fabricated reviews, no invented logos, no customer counts nobody can verify. The reviews page is empty because there are no reviews yet, and it says so.
5. We forbid what would ruin it
Unsolicited bulk messaging is banned by the Terms, not merely discouraged. It is the fastest way to get a number banned, and an API used for spam is an API that gets everybody on the platform blocked.
How we make money
Subscriptions, and nothing else. A flat monthly price per linked number, a free plan that stays free, and no cut of the messages you send. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and we have no incentive to push you into higher volume than your numbers can safely carry — the bill is the same either way, and a banned number is a cancelled subscription.
